The Government does not want to export the Masela Block Gas



Acting Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan wants the gas produced from the Masela Block not to be exported but used for domestic industrial interests.

"We don't want the gas to be exported. We want added value there, "said Luhut at the ESDM Ministry Office in Jakarta.

He wants gas from the Masela Block to flow to a fertilizer or petrochemical factory which is also in the vicinity of the location so that the production can be a major supplier to regions in eastern Indonesia.

"This is still in the stage of looking for the best. There are still details that might change. However, in principle, everything has been agreed." 



    Regarding the investment value of lnpex Corporation, Luhut said the figure would be far from the initial prediction of US $ 22 billion.
