Jalan Panjang Blok Masela Belum Ada Titik Temu

Long Road Masela There Is No rally point

The long road to an agreement on the development of the Masela block in Maluku, apparently still long. Since the government sent a reply letter to Inpex Corporation October 13, 2016 then, his life has been no significant progress on planned mega gas projects proficiency level. Until now, there has been no government decision to grant all or part of Inpex request. Previous Inpex mengaiukan a number of requests and replies have gained five points of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).

Inpex still have to wait for the Indonesian government certainty. Even so, they continue the commitment to develop the block with gas reserves of approximately 10.73 trillion cubic feet of it. Moreover, Inpex claimed to hold intensive meetings twice a week with the Government of Indonesia. Inpex business partners, namely Shell Indonesia also stressed they will not sell ownership of its participation in the Masela block. Shell, along with operator Inpex, remains committed to continue working with the Indonesian government.

In terms of ensuring investable project for the Abadi gas field development and communications continue running intensely, said General Manager of External Relations of Shell Indonesia Haviez Gautama. On Friday last week, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arcandra Tahar said the government and Inpex had reached an agree on some points raised one question refinery capacity additions liquefied natural gas (LNG), from 7.5 million metric tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 9.5 mtpa.

However, only to the extent that any government development lay. Consideration of the government, the LNG plant capacity additions will automatically add the gas wells. By doing so, likely to be no additional capital expenditure (capex) aka capex.
