Medco Kuasai 85 Persen Saham Blok A


PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk mengumumkan akuisisi saham Kris Energy di Blok A, Aceh, sebesar 26,6 persen, Kesepakatan itu menunggu persetujuan pemerintah sebagai peniegang kontrak bagi hasil (production sharing contract/PSC). Kepala Eksekutif Medco Energi, Roberto Lorato, mengatakan transaksi ini ditargetkan selesai pada akhir tahun. Lorato mengatakan aksi korporasi ini merupakan langkah lanjutan untuk menguasai 85 persen saham di Blok A. Awalnya, Medco hanya memiliki 41,6 persen kepemilikan di wilayah kerja ini. Kemudian perusahaan ini mencaplok saham Japex pada Mei lalu sebesar 16,67 persen, sehingga kepemilikannya di Blok A rnencapai 58,34 persen.

Sebagai pengelola, Medco baru saja memulai pengembangan proyek gas Blok A tahap 1 bersarna konsorsium PT JGC Indonesia dan PT Encona Inti Industri (JEC). Konsorsiurn ini bersepakat mengerjakan tahap engineering procurement and construction. Proyek ini diperkirakan rampung B pada kuartal pertarna 2018. Gas produksinya bakal dijual kepada PT Pertam ina sebesar 58 billion British thermal unit per day (BBTUD) atau 198 trillion British thermal unit (TBTU) selama 13 tahun, berdasarkan perjanjian jual-beli gas yang disepakati pada tahun lalu.

Medco beberapa kali mengakuisisi blok minyak dan gas serta tambang mineral sejak akhir tahun lalu. Saat itu, Presiden Direktur Medco, Hilmi Panigoro, mengumumkan bakal ambil bagian dalam akuisisi sahani PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara. Niat tersebut baru terealisasi pada 2 November lalu melalui pembelian 50 persen saham Amman Mineral Investania. Induk usaha PT Amman Mineral Internasional yang membeli 82,2 persen saham Newmont.

Medco juga rnengambil 40 persen alias seluruh saham ConocoPhillips di South Natuna Sea Block B. Medco juga membeli Onshore Receiving Facility di Singapura, sekaligus mernperoleh hak pengelolaan West Natuna Transportation System (WNTS) di sepanjang perairan Kepulauan Riau. Medco masih menutup rapat-rapat soal uang yang dikucurkan untuk membiayai serangkaian ekspansi tersebut. Sumber pendanaan, Salah satunya berasal dari obligasi sebesar Rp 5 triliun. Penawaran pertama diajukan perusahaan pada Juni lalu dengan target pengumpulan dana Rp 1,5 triliun.

Analis Indosurya Securities, William Surya Wijaya, mengatakan akuisisi seharusnya bisa menyehatkan kinerja perusahaan untuk jangka panjang. Ekspansi perusahaan, menurut dia, jamak terjadi, khususnya di sektor ekstraktif. Mereka perlu menjaga kondisi perusahaan supaya stabil William.
