OPEC Pangkas Produksi

    Pembahasan pemangkasan produksi minyak oleh OPEC berlangsung alot. Hal itu terlihat dalam pertemuan bilateral antara menteri-menteri energi OPEC seharl dan beberapa jam sebelum sidang serta pada pertemuan informal. Menurut informasi yang dihimpun dari pertemuan bilateral antara Indonesia dengan Irak, Iran, dan Gabon, beberapa negara setuju untuk menurunkan produksi, dan beberapa lainnya bakal bertahan dengan kondisi saat ini. lrak mengusulkan proposal, mereka setuju menurunkan produksi sekitar 200.000 barel per hari dari kondisi saat ini menjadi 4,5 juta barel per hari.

    Pada perdagangan Rabu (30/11) pukul 23.30 WIB, harga minyak WTI kontrak Januari 2017 berada di posisi US$48,71 per barel, naik 3,48 poin atau 7,69%. Sementara minyak Brent kontrak Januari 2017 bertengger di US$50,11 per barel, meningkat 3,73 poin atau 8,04%. Deddy Yusuf Siregar, analis Asia Tradepoint Futures, mengatakan rapat resmi OPEC pada 30 November 2016, sangat sensitif terhadap kelangsungan harga minyak mentah di pasar. Sebagian besar anggota optimistis pertemuan tersebut dapat mencapai kesepakatan yang signifikan. Sebelumnya, OPEC sudah bergerak ke arah kesepakatan pemangkasan produksi dalam pertemuan di Aljazair pada 28 September 2016.

    Organisasi menyatakan bakal memotong produksi hingga 700.000 barel per hari menuju ke 32,5 juta-33 juta barel per hari.     Menurutnya kesepakatan pemangkasan produksi akan langsung memberikan dampak positif terhadap harga, sekalipun pembatasan belum diimplementasikan. Pasalnya, OPEC belum pernah menahan pasokan dalam 8 tahun terakhir sehingga perjanjian pembatasan suplai bakal direspons baik oleh pasar. Dengan proyeksi OPEC bakal memangkas produksi, dan kemudian diikuti oleh negara produsen lainnya, pasar minyak mentah mulai terangkat dari kondisi surplus. Sampai akhir 2016, harga minyak WTI masih berpeluang menyentuh level US$50 per barel.
