Pemerintah menyepakati harga gas untuk Industri petrokimia tak lebih dari US$ 6 per MMBtu. Harga tersebut sesuai dengan Peraturan Presiden Nomor 40 Tahun 2016. Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral, Ignasius Jonan, menyatakan kesepakatan harga gas untuk industri petrokimia tersebut dicapai dalam rapat koordinasi di kantor Kementerian Koordinator Perekonomian, Sektor lain sedang dibahas. Menurut Jonan, pemerintah akan segera membentuk tim kecil yang beranggotakan pejabat eselon I-II dari kementerian lembaga. Tim tersebut akan mengkaji formula penurunan harga gas untuk enam sektor industri dan empat sektor yang diusulkan Kementerian Perindustrian.
