Sumur Minyak Tua Kedewan Ditutup

    Masyarakat Kecamatan Kedewan, Bojonegoro yang terlibat dalam pekerjaan di tambang minyak sumur tua memprotes penutupan aktivitas penambangan di lahan tempat mereka bekerja. Merasa kelimpungan karena kehilangan pekerjan, masyarakat Kedewan kemudian mendatangi Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) dan Pemkab Bojonegoro untuk mengadukan nasibnya. Di DPRD mereka tidak ditemui oleh anggota dewan. Karena pada Kamis kemarin tidak ada satupun anggota dewan yang masuk kantor.

    Akhirnya masyarakat mendatangi Pemkab Bojonegoro. Di Pemkab, mereka ditemui wakil Bupati Bojonegoro, Drs. Setyo Hanono. Kami mohon agar lahan tempat kami bekerja dibuka kembali. Karena hanya sumur tua menjadi satu-satunya lahan tempat kami bekerja. Permohonan warga Kedewan tersebut tidak dapat terpenuhi. Karena penutupan pekerjaan di lahan minyak sumur tua sudah final. Karena sumur tua ditutup seyogyanya masyarakat mencari alternatif pekerjaan lain seperti bertani, kata Wakil Bupati Setyo Hartono.

    Menurut Sugit, akibat lahan minyak sumur tua ditutup kini ada sekitar 600 warga Kedewan yang kehilangan pekerjaan sebagai tenaga angkat dan tenaga angkut crude oil (minyak mentah) dari sumur tua yang dikirim ke Pertamina di Cepu. Sumur minyak tua di Kecamatan Kedewan yang produktif sebanyak 15 sumur. Di setiap sumur ada 40 warga yang bekerja. Sumur-sumur tersebut kemungkinan akan diambil alih oleh PT. Geo Cepu Indonesia (GCI). Dan. GCI tidak melibatkan warga pada saat beroperasi nanti.
