Setelah sempat menyentuh US$ 46,64 per barel pada Oktober, rata-rata harga minyak mentah Indonesia (ICP) pada November 2016 ini kembali turun menjadi US$ 43,25 per barel. Penurunan US$ 3,39 per barel itu sejalan dengan penurunan rata-rata harga minyak mentah utama di pasar internasional. Seperti dilansir laman Migas ESDM, penurunan harga minyak global disebabkan beberapa faktor, di antaranya laporan Organisasi Negara-Negara Pengekspor Minyak (OPEC) terkait dengan produksi minyak mereka di Oktober yang naik menjadi 33,64 juta bph dari September 2016 yang 33,40 juta bph.
ICP 2017 berpotensi di atas US$ 50 per barel, di atas asumsi RAPBN 2017 US$ 45 per barel. Proyeksi membaiknya harga ICP tidak lepas dari realisasi pelaksanaan pemotongan produksi OPEC sebesar 1,2 juta bph,” kata pengamat energi Reforminer Institute Pri Agung Rakhmanto.
