Priority Kasuri Block Gas for Domestic Needs

Special Unit of Upstream Oil and Gas (SKK Migas) together as an operator Genting Oil Kasuri Block is finalizing for the plan of development (PoD) which will be submitted by Genting Oil Sunber the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). The PoD is expected to be completed in January 2017 this.

One of the issues addressed in the finalization of the allocation and the price is gas from Block Kasuri. SKK Migas has been getting gas allocation request from the Ministry of Industry (Ministry of Industry). "Yes, it must be adapted to the field development costs," said Deputy Chief of SKK Migas, M.I Zikrullah. 

       According to him, the price of gas from Block Kasuri will be aligned with the upstream economics and the ability of potential buyers from the petrochemical industry. Although already getting prospective buyers, Zikrullah asserts, the entire gas from Block Kasuri maximum will be allocated for domestic interest. The government has actually set a domestic market obligation (DMO). "Again discussed first. DMO its 25%," explains Zikrullah.

Satuan Kerja Khusus Pelaksana Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Minyak dan Gas Bumi (SKK Migas) bersama Genting Oil selaku operator Blok Kasuri sedang melakukan finalisasi untuk plan of development (PoD) yang akan diajukan oleh Genting Oil kepada Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM). Diharapkan PoD tersebut bisa selesai pada Januari 2017 ini.

Salah satu isu yang dibahas dalam finalisasi tersebut adalah alokasi dan harga gas dari Blok Kasuri. SKK Migas telah mendapatkan permintaan alokasi gas dari Kementerian Perindustrian (Kemenperin). "Ya, harus disesuaikan dengan biaya pengembangan lapangan," kata Wakil Kepala SKK Migas, M.I Zikrullah. 

   Menurutnya, harga gas dari Blok Kasuri akan disesuaikan dengan keekonomian hulu dan kemampuan calon pembeli dari industri petrokimia. "Tinggal dihitung secara mendetail keekonomian hulu dengan harga gas kemampuan petrokimia. Kalau tidak Salah mulai mendekat., tinggal nanti mungkin formulanya, kata Zikrullah.

Biarpun sudah mendapatkan calon pembeli, Zikrullah menegaskan, seluruh gas dari Blok Kasuri sebesar-besarnya akan dialokasikan untuk kepentingan dalam negeri. Pemerintah sendiri sebenarnya telah menetapkan domestic market obligation (DMO) . "Lagi dibahas dulu. DMO-nya 25%," jelas Zikrullah.
