Ahmad Bambang yang juga mantan Wakil Direktur Utama Pertamina disebut-sebut sebagai calon terkuat untuk menjadi orang nomor satu di perseroan. Tanri Abeng, Komisaris Utama Pertamina, pun buru-buru menampik kabar yang menyebut sudah ada tiga nama yang akan, diusulkan untuk menjadi Direktur Utama Pertamina.
Menurutnya, saat ini Dewan Komisaris masih memproses sejumlah nama, untuk dibawa ke Menteri BUMN Rini Soemarno. “Nama-nama yang akan diusulkan masih dalam proses di Dewan Komisaris Pertamina,” katanya.
Mantan Menteri Negara pendayagunaan BUMN itu pun menyebut Dewan Komisaris akan menjaring nama-nama dari internal Pertamina untuk diusulkan kepada pemerintah. Adapun Kementerian BUMN akan menjalankan proses untuk mencari nama yang akan diusulkan dari kalangan profesional atau ekstemal perseroan.
Hal yang sama disampaikan oleh Menteri BUMN Rini Soemamo yang menyebut belum ada usulan dari siapa pun terkait dengan siapa yang akan ditetapkan sebagai Direktur Utama Pertamina. “Belum ada usulan apa-apa dari siapa pun, dan belum ditetapkan,” katanya.
Rini mengaku harus memanfaatkan waktu yang ada untuk secara hati-hati mengusulkan nama calon Direktur Utama Pertamina. Pihaknyapun akan mengedepankan kualitas dan nama yang akan diusulkan kepada Presiden untuk ditetapkan secara resmi.
HARUS LEBIH EFISIEN
Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Menteri Koordinator Kemaritiman yang juga membawahi sektor energi dan sumberdaya mineral (ESDM), mendukung langkah Menteri Rini mencopot Dwi Soetjipto dan Ahmad Bambang. Menurutnya, pencopotan tersebut merupakan langkah terbaik yang diambil untuk menjaga kinerja Pertamina. Dirinya pun siap mengamankan keputusan Menteri Rini, dengan menjaga agar prosesnya dapat berjalan dengan baik.
Dia juga menyebut Direktur Utama Pertamina yang baru nantinya harus memiliki kompetensi dan mampu membuat Pertamina lebih efisien dan produktif. Dengan begitu, Pertamina dapat bersaing dengan perusahaan lain di tingkat global. Apakah itu dan dalam Pertamina atau luar Pertamina. Lihat saja nanti apakah memenuhi kriteria tersebut. Latar belakang tersebut hanya membuat pegawai menyesuaikan kembali dengan gaya kepemimpinan Direktur Utama Pertamina yang baru. “Saya kira akan relatif sama apakah itu dari internal atau eksternal. Kalaupun ada pengaruh, itu lebih kepada aspek mudah diterima atau tidak oleh internal pemerintah,”

Calon Direktur Utama Pertamina pun dituntut langsung mampu bekerja cepat merealisasikan sejumlah target yang telah ditetapkan. Transisi kepemimpinan tidak boleh memakan banyak waktu, karena sebagian target perusahaan adalah untuk menjamin ketahanan energi nasional. Selain itu, Pertamina tidak boleh dijadikan sebagai tempat trial and error atau uji coba kebijakan baru.
