Komisi VII DPR RI meminta agar tim direksi PT Pertamina setelah ditunjukkan direktur utama yang baru, harus mumpuni dan solid. Hal ini menyusul akan diberikannya sejumlah keistimewaan bagi Pertamina dalam Undang-

Undang Migas yang baru.

Anggota Komisi VII DPR RI Dito Ganinduto mengatakan, dalam draft Undang-Undang Migas yang disusun DPR, Pertamina akan memperoleh leverage yang luar biasa. Karenanya, pihaknya berharap direktur utama yang terpilih dan lim direksi nantinya bisa solid dan mumpuni kinerjanya. “Karena kalau sudah di-leverage, tetapi tidak didukung direksi solid, jadi tidak ada gunanya,” kata dia. 

Untuk itu, dirinya menyarankan, pemerintah selaku pemegang saham memilik direktur utama Pertamina dari dalam perseroan. Pihaknya menginginkan direktur utama Pertamina nantinya adalah sosok profesional  di sektor migas dan bukan sekedar jago lobi.

Menurut Anggota Komisi VII Ramson Siagian, dalam rancangan revisi Undang-Undang Migas, Pertamina akan diberi otoritas yang lebih besar. Bahkan, tidak menutup kemungkinan Pertamina akan menjadi badan tersendiri yang menjalankan amanat Undang-Undang. Rencana ini hanya dapat dilakukan jika jajaran direksi Pertamina cukup solid. “Jadi kami ingin dirut Pertamina dari dalam saja, yang penting direktur dan senior vice president melakukan back up maksimal saja. Sehingga lebih solid mendatang," sarannya.

Sebelumnya, pemerintah telah memberhentikan Dwi Soejipto dan Ahmad Bambang dari jabatannya masing-masing sebagai Direktur Utama dan Wakil Direktur Utama Pertamina per 3 Februari 2017. Deputi Bidang Usaha Jasa Kementerian BUMN Gatot Trihargo menuturkan, salah satu faktor pergantian pucuk pimpinan Pertamina terkait kerjasama dan kekompakan tim. Pertamina memiliki tanggung jawab dan tugas yang strategis, sehingga diperlukan manajemen yang yang solid.

Komisaris Utama Pertamina Tanri Abeng menambahkan, nantinya akan dipilih talenta baru yang dapat bekerja sama sehingga Pertamina menjadi solid. Hal ini guna mewujudkan cita-cita menjadi perusahaan energi berkelas dunia (World class energy company)
