Selama 2016 Poleng Field mampu menghasilkan realisasi rata-rata produksi minyak sebesar 2.858 barel per hari (bph) atau 100,5 % diatas target dalam Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Perusahaan (RKAP) sebesar 2.843 bph. Tingkat produksi tersebut didapatkan dengan menjalankan beberapa metode produksi, seperti misalnya teknologi gas lift pack off (GLPO) yang digunakan untuk optimasi sumur gas lift dan menjaga terjadinya low and off untuk menjaga tingkat produksi, "Tingkat produksi ini lebih tinggi 140% setelah dikelola oleh PT Pertamina EP 2013 dibandingkan saat dikelola oleh operator sebelumnya yang mencapai rata-rata produksi sebesar 2.030 bph,” ujar Operation & Production Director PT Pertamina EP Pribadi Mahaguna bangsa.
Pribadi mengatakan Produksi Poleng Field didapatkan dari empat platform sumur produksi yaitu platform AW, BW yang dibangun lebih kurang 42 tahun yang lalu atau sekitar 1975, kemudian platform CW dan DWL serta satu platform untuk pemrosesan, yaitu Poleng Production Platform yang dibangun pada 2007. ”Meskipun lapangan yang kami kelola relatif tua, kami tetap optimistis untuk bisa memproduksikan minyak dan gas bumi sesuai target yang ditentukan. Kami bersyukur selama 2016, Lapangan Poleng mampu melampaui target yang ditetapkan tersebut,” kata Pribadi.
Sementara itu, untuk target 2017, Poleng field ditargetkan mencapai produksi minyak bumi sebesar 3.088 bph. Pertamina EP optimistis dengan target yang ditentukan tersebut karena tingkat produksi minyak hingga 29 Januari 2017 sudah mencapai angka 2.983 bph. "Saya harapkan teman-teman di Poleng Field tetap semangat dan bisa meningkatkan performa-nya untuk mencapai target tersebut,” tandas Pribadi.
