Saat bertemu dengan Menteri Koordinator Kemaritiman Luhut Pandjaitan, Noviyanto mengatakan sudah membicarakan ihwal proses transisi dengan Pertamina. Menurut dia, proses yang sudah mulai dikerjakan adalah pengeboran atau drilling. Tapi Noviyanto mengelak saat ditanya mengenai respons atas ajakan Pertamina untuk tetap ikut mengelola Blok Mahakam, dengan pembagian saham 30 persen bersama dengan Inpex Corporation Ltd. “Setelah transisi, akan dibicarakan.” Hingga saat ini, Total masih menjadi operator Blok Mahakam dengan jatah 50 persen hak partisipasi.
