"Pemboran sudah mencapai kedalaman puncak, namun tidak dilanjutkan pada tahap komplesi atau penyelesaian ujar Field Manajer PT Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu Agus Amperianto kemarin (6/3).

Karena itu, rig atau alat bor di lokasi akan dipindahkan. Selanjutnya, sumur ditutup dan dicor. Penutupan sumur tersebut untuk mengamankan potensi tekanan bawah tanah yang mungkin timbul. "Dalam kasus sumur di Jamprong ini, persoalan yang muncul pada kedalaman 1.100 meter itu akan kita korelasikan pada kedalaman tersebut dengan rencana pengeboran di Sumur Pecuk ," tegas dia. 

    Meski ditutup, masih ada kemungkinan sumur ABP dibuka kembali. ltu dilakukan setelah diketahui persoalan yang terjadi dan solusinya sesuai dengan kondisi pengeboran di sumur Lamongan. "Tidak menutup kemungkinan kita akan bekerja lagi di sumur ABP dengan memanfaatkan data-data yang telah kita peroleh saat driling di ABP01,".

Diberitakan sebelumnya, mendekati kedalaman puncak, pengeboran eksplorasi di sumur Albatros Putih 01 sempat muncul kendala. Dari dalam sumur muncul semburan air deras atau down hole serta semburan air (kick water). Sehingga berhari-hari petugas di lapangan fokus untuk menyelesaikan kendala tersebut. Pengeboran dilakukan sejak 20 Desember dengan kedalaman 1.275 meter.
