Iran oil and gas fields Equivalent Reserves Indonesia

Pertamina has submitted proposals to develop two oil and gas fields in Iran, namely the Ab-Teymour and Mansouri. Both fields have proven reserves (proven reserves) or almost 3 billion barrels of oil equivalent reserves of Indonesia, which reached 3.8 billion barrels. "Big is not? Enormous," said Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arcandra Tahar in discussions mining outlook in Jakarta yesterday (1/3).

The amount of oil reserves is the reason the government has encouraged Pertamina in cooperation with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) to work on the second oil field in Khuzestan province. Arcandra states, the Iranian government is also interested to make a more intensive cooperation with Indonesia. If the proposal is approved Pertamina, oil production will be brought to Indonesia to be processed at the refineries of Pertamina in the country.

With the addition of oil from Iran, the total oil production can be increased to 300 thousand barrels per day. According Arcandra, if this year assignment from the government of Iran has been given, Pertamina could start operations in the second field next year. Pertamina Upstream Director Syamsu Alam added that the proposal is a follow up of a memorandum of understanding signed by Pertamina and NIOC on August 8 last year.

In addition to working the management of oil and gas reserves, the two countries agreed to import LPG. The target, Iran could meet 10 percent of the total demand of LPG in Indonesia. Pertamina currently imports 5 million metric tons of LPG per year.

The two countries also discussed the plan of crude oil imports (crude oil) from Iran. When this is done test the suitability of crude from Iran with an oil refinery in Indonesia. "Still a commercial and technical evaluation," said Arcandra.

Ladang Migas Iran Setara Cadangan Indonesia

Selain bekerja sama pengelolaan cadangan migas, kedua negara menyepakati impor elpiji.
