First Quarter, PGN Gas Pipes Increase 252 Km



In the first quarter of 2017, the gas pipeline infrastructure of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) increased by more than 252 km. Thus the total length of the PGN gas pipeline currently reaches more than 7,278 km or equivalent to 80% of the national downstream gas pipeline.

According to PGN's Corporate Secretary, Heri Yusup, from the infrastructure, PGN supplies natural gas to 1,652 large industries and power plants, 1,929 commercial customers (hotels, restaurants, hospitals) and SMEs, and 204,000 households. PGN's customers are spread in various regions from North Sumatera, Riau Islands, Riau, South Sumatera, Lampung, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten, Central Java, East Java, North Kalimantan and Sorong Papua.

A number of projects that have been completed by PGN include the 42 km Muara Karang-Muara Bekasi gas distribution project and several other gas infrastructure development networks such as in West Java sepanjaug 37, East Java along 165 km and North Sumatra and Batam as long as 8 km.

Heri said PGN is currently working on Central Kalimantan's 125 km gas distribution pipeline project, marine pipelines and facilities for the 5km-long Riau archipelago, as well as several other gas infrastructure development networks in West Java and Surabaya. In the near future PGN will also distribute natural gas to several flats in DKI Jakarta.

"PGN continues to commit to building and expanding the national gas infrastructure, even in times of unfavorable economic conditions and declining world crude oil prices," Heri said.

Net profit

Meanwhile, PGN also recorded a good performance during the first quarter of 2017. At a time when oil prices are still experiencing a significant decline and fluctuating rupiah exchange rate, PGN can book a net profit of Rp 1.29 trillion. "PGN's performance is improving in global conditions and fluctuations in the rupiah against the US dollar," Heri said.

Throughout the first three months of 2017, PGN posted net revenues of US $ 746 million or an increase of US $ 26 million compared to the same period last year. "The increase is due to an increase in revenue from the exploration and production segments of oil and gas," said Heri.

While operating profit amounted to US $ 155.7 million, while EBITDA in the first quarter of 2017 amounted to US $ 254 million. While net income of US $ 96.8 million or Rp 1.29 trillion (average exchange rate of Rp 13.348 / US $). During the period from January to March 2017, PGN delivered 1,542 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas, down from 1,643 Mmscfd in the same period last year.

Heri said, in line with the government's efforts to boost the national economy, PGN is optimistic that the company's performance will improve. PGN remains committed to develop gas infrastructure through both gas pipelines and non-piped infrastructure such as Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquelied Natural Gas (LNG), to expand the utilization of natural gas for the community.

Kuartal I, Pipa Gas PGN Bertambah 252 Km   


Pada kuartal I-2017, infrastruktur pipa gas PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) bertambah sepanjang Iebih dari 252 km. Dengan demikian total panjang pipa gas PGN saat ini mencapai Iebih dari 7.278 km atau setara dengan 80% pipa gas bumi hilir nasional.

Menurut Sekretaris Perusahaan PGN, Heri Yusup, dari infrastruktur tersebut, PGN memasok gas bumi ke 1.652 industri besar dan pembangkit Iistrik, 1.929 pelanggan komersial (hotel, restoran, rumah sakit) dan Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM), dan 204.000 pelanggan rumah tangga. Pelanggan PGN tersebar di berbagai wilayah mulai dari Sumatera Utara, Kepulauan Riau, Riau, Sumatera Selatan, Lampung, DKI Jakarta, Jawa Barat, Banten, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, Kalimantan Utara dan Sorong Papua.

Sejumlah proyek yang telah diselesaikan PGN antara lain proyek pipa distribusi gas Muara Karang-Muara Bekasi sepanjang 42 km dan beberapa pengembangan jaringan infrastruktur gas lainnya seperti di Jawa Barat sepanjaug 37, Jawa Timur sepanjang 165 km dan Sumatera Utara serta Batam sepanjang 8 km.

Heri mengungkapkan, PGN saat ini juga sedang mengerjakan proyek pipa distribusi gas Sumatera Tengah sepanjang 123 km, pipa laut dan fasilitasnya untuk kepulauan Riau sepanjang 5 km, serta beberapa pengembangan jaringan infrastruktur gas lainnya seperti di Jawa Barat dan Surabaya. Dalam waktu dekat PGN juga akan menyalurkan gas bumi ke beberapa rumah susun di DKI Jakarta.

“PGN terus berkomitmen membangun dan memperluas infrastruktur gas nasional, walau di saat kondisi ekonomi yang belum membaik dan turunnya harga minyak mentah dunia," ujar Heri.

Laba Bersih 

Sementara itu, PGN juga mencatatkan kinerja yang baik sepanjang kuartal I-2017. Di saat harga minyak yang masih mengalami penurunan signifikan serta nilai tukar rupiah yang berfluktuasi, PGN dapat membukukan laba bersih Rp 1,29 triliun. “Kinerja PGN tercatat semakin membaik di saat kondisi global dan fluktuasi nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar AS,” kata Heri

Sepanjang tiga bulan pertama di 2017, PGN membukukan pendapatan bersih sebesar US$ 746 juta atau meningkat sebesar US$ 26 juta dibandingkan dengan periode yang sama tahun lalu. “Peningkatan tersebut karena adanya peningkatan pendapatan dari segmen ekplorasi dan produksi minyak dan gas,” ujar Heri. 

Sedangkan laba operasi sebesar US$ 155,7 juta, adapun EBITDA di kuartal I-2017 sebesar US$ 254 juta. Sementara laba bersih sebesar US$ 96,8 juta atau Rp 1,29 triliun (kurs rata-rata sebesar Rp 13,348/ US$). Selama periode Januari-Maret 2017, PGN menyalurkan gas bumi (transmisi dan distribusi) sebesar 1.542 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd), turun dibandingkan periode yang sama tahun lalu sebesar 1.643 Mmscfd.

Dengan rincian yaitu volume gas distribusi sebesar 816 MMsefd, naik dibandingkan periode yang sama tahun lalu sebesar 797 MMSCFD dan volume transmisi atau pengangkutan gas bumi sebesar 726 MMscfd, turun dibandingkan periode yang sama tahun lalu sebesar 846 Mmscfd

Heri mengatakan, sejalan dengan upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan perekonomian nasional, PGN optimistis kinerja perusahaan juga akan semakin baik. PGN tetap berkomitmen mengembangkan infrastruktur gas bumi baik melalui pipa gas maupun dengan infrastruktur non pipa seperti Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) dan Liquelied Natural Gas (LNG), untuk memperluas pemanfaatan gas bumi bagi masyarakat.
