Working on Oil and Gas, United Arab Emirates with Pertamina

The Energy Ministry of the United Arab Emirates will increase energy investment in Indonesia. So far, Indonesia's energy investment has touched US $ 2 billion and in the future, God willing, it will grow to around US $ 7 billion.

One of the indications is that the United Arab Emirates is interested in cooperating with Pertamina to manage oil and gas blocks that will expire in 2018. Ignasius Jonan Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) said the United Arab Emirates is interested in joint venture with Pertamina to manage the oil and gas blocks. Already assigned to the SOE.

There are at least 10 oil and gas blocks that will be offered to the United Arab Emirates to be reviewed and cooperated. "This is immediately talked at the level of business to business, hopefully can start, because they believe, production operations by Mubadala Petroleum very efficient," said Jonan, after meeting with the Ministry of Energy of the United Arab Emirates in his office on Thursday (18/5) .

Mubadala Petroleum is one of the upstream oil exploration and international gas production companies from Abu Dhabi, established in June 2012. Pertamina and Mubadala can also cooperate in managing Mubadala oil and gas blocks in Africa and other countries. "Pertamina will be invited to develop the block, either here or look for new oil fields outside Indonesia, it could be in Africa or elsewhere," said Jonan.

In addition to Mubadala, Pertamina will purchase LPG from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). Unfortunately, the amount of LPG imports has not been agreed. To be sure, the needs of LPG in Indonesia continues to increase. This year, the demand for LPG is 7 million metric tons, up 700 percent compared to LPG usage in 2007 which was then only 1 million metric tons.

Garap Migas, Uni Emirat Arab Gandeng Pertamina
