Baker Hughes is partnering with GE

International oil and gas company Baker Hughes is partnering with General Electric Oil and Gas to target sales of industrial equipment, digital solutions and all aspects of the oil and gas sector in the world including Indonesia. Baker Hughes and GE have announced the completion of the merged transaction. 

     Common stock of class A Baker Hughes GE will start trading at The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) market with the BHGE symbol at the opening of the NYSE on July 5, 2017.

SHGE CEO Lorenzo Simonelli said the combined two international oil and gas companies would help all companies managing Oil and GAS working areas to increase productivity and minimize drilling costs and risks.

Machine and digital to improve reliability, open new opportunities, and inherit an international industry culture. Meanwhile, the merger of two companies will also improve the performance of oil and gas in the country as GE Oil and Gas has been eyeing several oil and gas projects in Indonesia, one of the Abadi Field, Masela Block.

President Director of GE Oil and Gas lwan S. Chandra explained that LNG project is big enough in Indonesia now only from Masela Block. Lwan realized to go into the project Masela still have to wait for the opening of the tender for the development of oil and gas blocks located in the Arafuru Sea, the Moluccas.

"Inpex Masela is our target, but it is still in the tender process," said Lwan.

Iwan explained that GE has so far been involved in the Arun LNG project, Badak LNG, Tangguh Train III LNG, and Donggi Senoro LNG. For the upstream oil and gas project, GE has entered the deepwater (Indonesia Deepwater Development / IDD) project operated by Chevron. 

     This year, GE is targeting three small scale LNG projects in Java, Sumatra and Kalimantan. But the project still has to wait for investors willing to develop the small-scale gas field.

Baker Hughes Gandeng GE

Perusahaan minyak dan gas bumi internasional Baker Hughes menggandeng General Electric Oil and Gas untuk menyasar penjualan perangkat industri, solusi digital, dan seluruh aspek sektor migas di dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Baker Hughes dan GE telah mengumumkan penyelesaian transaksi penggabungan usaha. Saham umum kelas A Baker Hughes GE akan mulai diperdagangkan di Pasar Bursa Saham New York (NYSE) dengan simbol BHGE pada pembukaan NYSE pada 5 Juli 2017. 

CEO SHGE Lorenzo Simonelli mengatakan, gabungan dua perusahaan migas internasional tersebut akan membantu seluruh perusahaan pengelola Wilayah Kerja minyak dan gas bumi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan memperkecil biaya dan risiko pengeboran. 

Mesin dan digital untuk meningkatkan kehandalan, membuka peluang baru, dan mewarisi budaya industri bertaraf internasional. Sementara itu, penggabungan dua perusahaan itu juga akan meningkatkan kinerja migas di dalam negeri mengingat GE Oil and Gas sudah mengincar beberapa proyek migas di Indonesia, salah satunya Lapangan Abadi, Blok Masela. 

Presiden Direktur GE Oil and Gas lwan S. Chandra menjelaskan, proyek LNG yang cukup besar di Indonesia saat ini hanya dari Blok Masela. lwan menyadari untuk masuk ke proyek Masela masih harus menunggu dibukanya tender pengembangan blok migas yang berlokasi di Laut Arafuru, Maluku tersebut. 

“Inpex Masela itu target kami, tetapi ini masih dalam proses tender,” ujar lwan. 

Iwan menjelaskan bahwa sejauh ini GE telah masuk di proyek LNG Arun, LNG Badak, LNG Tangguh Train III, dan LNG Donggi Senoro. Untuk di proyek hulu migas, GE telah masuk di proyek laut dalam (Indonesia Deepwater Development/ IDD) yang dioperasikan oleh Chevron. 

     Tahun ini, GE mengincar tiga proyek LNG skala kecil yang ada di Jawa, Sumatra dan Kalimantan. Namun proyek tersebut masih harus menunggu investor yang bersedia mengembangkan lapangan gas skala kecil tersebut.
