Growth of oil and gas production PT. Medco E & P Indonesia and Medco E & P Natuna Ltd. (Medco E & P) until the first half of this year increased significantly, more than 40%.

Based on company data, oil and gas production figures in the first half of 2017 with an increase of about 24 MBOEPD. In the first half of 2017, Medco E & P's oil and gas production reached almost 90 MBOEPD. While in the same semester the previous year only reached 64 MBOEPD.
"This is a very significant achievement for Medco E & P when world oil prices are not as expected," said Drajat.
In an effort to maintain this achievement, Medco E & P Indonesia and Medco E & P Natuna Ltd. continue to improve their operational performance. This year Medco E & P focuses on completing the Block A Project in Aceh on schedule and budget, monetizing existing domestic oil and gas inventories, near-field exploration and well drilling and underwater development.
All operating activities still adhere to the principle of cost efficiency without subordinating the safety aspect. The company also managed to keep production costs per barrel below USD10 per barrel of oil equivalent.
Medco E & P is under the supervision and guidance of the Special Unit for Upstream Oil and Gas Operations (SKK Migas) also continues to optimize the old fields by sharing innovations in the field of oil and gas technology and cost control of field assets.
"Among others are Rimari and Lematang Block in South Sumatra, and Tarakan Block in North Kalimantan," he said.

Produksi Migas Medco E&P Naik Signifikan
Pertumbuhan produksi minyak dan gas bumi (migas) PT. Medco E&P Indonesia dan Medco E&P Natuna Ltd (Medco E&P) hingga pertengahan pertama tahun ini meningkat secara signifikan, lebih dari 40%.
“Peningkatan produksi tersebut menunjukkan kesungguhan Medco E&P dalam mendukung upaya pemerintah dalam memenuhi kebutuhan migas nasional,”ujar Senior Manager Relations & Security Medco E&P Indonesia dan Medco E&P Natuna Ltd Drajat Iman Panjawi di sela-sela media gathering di Bogora akhir pekan lalu.
Berdasarkan data perusahaan, angka produksi migas pada semester pertama 2017 dengan 2016 terjadi peningkatan sekitar 24 MBOEPD. Pada semester pertama 2017, produksi migas Medco E&P hampir mencapai 90 MBOEPD. Sementara pada semester yang sama tahun sebelumnya hanya mencapai 64 MBOEPD.
“Ini sebuah capaian yang sangat berarti bagi Medco E&P ketika harga minyak dunia belum sesuai harapan," ujar Drajat.
Dalam upaya mempertahankan prestasinya ini, Medco E&P Indonesia dan Medco E&P Natuna Ltd terus berupaya meningkatkan kinerja operasinya. Pada tahun ini Medco E&P fokus menyelesaikan Proyek Blok A di Aceh sesuai jadwal dan anggaran, memonetisasi penemuan-penemuan domestik migas yang ada, eksplorasi near-field dan pengeboran sumur serta pengembangan bawah laut.
Semua aktivitas operasi tetap berpegang pada prinsip cost efficiency tanpa menomorduakan aspek keselamatan. Perusahaan juga berhasil mempertahankan biaya produksi per barel di bawah USD10 per barel ekuivalen minyak.
Medco E&P dibawah pengawasan dan pembinaan Satuan Kerja Khusus Pelaksana Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Migas (SKK Migas) juga terus mengoptimalisasi lapangan-lapangan tua dengan berbagi inovasi di bidang teknologi migas serta pengendalian biaya aset lapangan.
“Antara lain di Blok Rimari dan Lematang di Sumatera Selatan, serta Blok Tarakan di Kalimantan Utara,” ujarnya.
