One of them is Attaka Block, previously managed by Inpex Corp and East Kalimantan Block, managed by Chevron. The Attaka Block contract expires on March 31, 2017 and East Kalimantan ends October 24, 2018. Attaka's production is 4,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day, while East Kalimantan is 36,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Secretary General of the ESDM Ministry Ego Syahrial said the government is preparing auction documents.

"Attaka may be auctioned in early January 2018," he said.

The government also prepared special requirements for bidders. Among them have the ability of financial and technological mumpuni. The government hopes that the auction winner can increase production, because the government is committed to maintain oil and gas production in order not to decrease.

While East Kalimantan Block which previously managed Chevron also to be auctioned by the government. The auction after Pertamina assessed the two oil and gas projects is not economical to be developed. Pertamina will only continue the management of six termination blocks in 2018. Namely Blok Sanga-Sanga, Tuban Block, B / NSO Block, South East Sumatra Block, Central Block, and Ogan Komering Block.

Produksi Attaka sebesar 4.900 barel setara minyak per hari, sementara East Kalimantan sebesar 36.500 barel setara minyak per hari. Sekjen Kementerian ESDM Ego Syahrial mengatakan, pemerintah sedang menyiapkan dokumen lelang.

"Attaka mungkin dilelang awal Januari 2018,"ujarnya.
