Inpex is still preparing the revision of the Masela Block Development

The government gave a deadline for Inpex Corporation as the operator of the Masela Block to submit a revision of the plain of development (POD) plan in the block. The government hopes that the revised POD document can be submitted soon.

That way, the government gives POD approval by the end of this year. So that Inpex can enter the stage of the construction process of the Masela Block project facility in 2020. Furthermore, Berli said, Inpex management had not been able to provide an estimated investment cost for the Masela Block project. In fact, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan had said that the estimated investment costs in the Masela Block reached US $ 20 billion.

"So far, we have not been able to provide a response regarding reporting on the estimated value of the Masela Block project," Berli said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of ESDM Arcandra Tahar also did not answer KONTAN's questions regarding the estimated investment value of the Masela Block. But beforehand Arcandra had ensured that the development of the Masela Block would be financed more efficiently.

Inpex Masih Susun Revisi Pengembangan Blok Masela

Pemerintah memberikan tenggat waktu bagi Inpex Corporation selaku operator Blok Masela untuk mengajukan revisi rencana pengembangan atau plain of development (POD) di blok tersebut. Pemerintah berharap revisi dokumen POD bisa segera diajukan.

Dengan begitu, pemerintah memberikan persetujuan POD pada akhir tahun ini. Sehingga Inpex bisa memasuki tahap proses konstruksi fasilitas proyek Blok Masela pada tahun 2020 mendatang. Belakangan, revisi POD Blok Masela ternyata belum juga rampung. Mohammad Berli, Advisor Corp Service & Act. Sr Mgr C&R Inpex Indonesia mengatakan pihaknya masih dalam proses penyusunan revisi POD Blok Masela "POD sedang disusun," ujarnya.

Lebih lanjut, Berli mengemukakan, manajemen Inpex belum bisa memberikan estimasi biaya investasi untuk proyek Blok Masela. Padahal, Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Ignasius Jonan sempat menyebutkan estimasi biaya investasi di Blok Masela mencapai US$ 20 miliar. 

"Sejauh ini, kami belum dapat memberikan tanggapan terkait pemberitaan atas perkiraan nilai proyek Blok Masela," ungkap Berli.

Sementara itu, Wakil Menteri ESDM Arcandra Tahar juga tidak menjawab pertanyaan KONTAN terkait estimasi nilai investasi Blok Masela. Namun sebelumnya Arcandra pernah memastikan pengembangan Blok Masela akan dibiayai dengan lebih efisien.
