The production of oil and gas (oil and gas) in East Java in Indonesia is expected to increase in 2019. The goal, East Java is able to contribute even more to oil production nationally. Until now, the total oil production in Indonesia is more than 750 thousand barrels of oil per day (BOPD).
Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Jabanusa Ali Masyhar said that the East Java region of Indonesia is expected to be able to support oil and gas production in Indonesia.
"Because the potential is huge. For example, from the Banyu Urip Bojonegoro field in East Java, it is now able to produce 220 thousand BOPD of oil and become the largest contributor in Indonesia," he said.
This figure is equivalent to 25-30 percent of total national oil production.
"This is from one well, not the other. This year we and the contractor of the cooperation contract (KKKS) in Jabanusa continue to strive to strengthen production by carrying out various strategies," explained Ali.
Among other things, the focus was on developing the Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB) field project in Bojonegoro which was operated by PT Pertamina EP Cepu. The gas project began in 2017.
"In addition, several sources have been found in Gresik, East Java, such as the Sidayu, Tambakboyo and Pangkah Kulon fields operated by Saka Indonesia," he explained.
