Petronas strives to exceed production targets

Petronas (Petroliam Nasional Berhad) is seeking to exceed the 15,000 barrels per day (bpd) target set by the government through SKK Migas at Ketapang Field Working Area (WK) in 2018. Through the development of a field approved by SKK Migas, Petronas hopes can maintain production levels in the range of 16,000 bpd.

"For development in Bukit Tua Field, the main objective is to keep production at a range of 16,000 bpd. The target is above the government's target of 15,000 bpd, "said Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs & Administration PC Muriah, Andiono Setiawan.

WorkingArea Petronas

Andiono explained that Petronas optimism maintains production from Bukit Tua WK Ketapang field based on performance since May 2015 when it first succeeded in delivering petroleum in accordance with the current target date.

"Since the beginning of production in 2015, the production is fairly good which is about 18 thousand barrels per day. Above the target set by the government at that time is 16 thousand barrels per day. Because there is a natural decline, now the government's target of 15,000 bpd, Petronas hopes to reach about 16,000 bpd, "he said.

Andiono confirmed that the development of the field to maintain the natural oil production is also likely to increase gas production from Bukit Tua field. Described, the current gas production ranges from 30 mmscfd which flowed to the Java Java (PJB) through the East Java Petrogas (PJU). With the development of the field is expected to increase gas production by about 15 mmscfd.

"Petronas is committed to supporting electricity supply by PJB. The reliability of electricity is very important for economic growth in East Java Region can be maintained even improved, "he explained.

The spirit of Petronas to exploit in the field of Bukit Tua located on the North Coast of Madura Island proves the commitment of Petronas oil and gas company from Malaysia to invest in upstream oil and gas sector in Indonesia WK Ketapang is officially signed as a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with the Government of Indonesia , in June 1998. Since working on WK Ketapang, after taking over ConocoPhillips shares, on December 1, 2000 to July 25, 2008, Petronas operations showed very positive performance.

By cooperating with Trunojoyo University as a Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS), Petronas not only invests in upstream oil and gas, but also conducts community social investment activities through Social Responsibility programs that have been initiated since 2013.

"Petronas cooperates with local educational institutions such as Trunojoyo Madura University (UTM) in conducting social studies which become the place of operation of Petronas in Gresik and Sampang," said the alumnus of ITS Surabaya.

Armed with the results of studies accompanied by coordination and communication with relevant Local Governments, Petronas continues to implement sustainable programs covering 3 areas of education, community empowerment and environment and public health.

Petronas Berupaya Lampaui Target Produksi

Apply Clustering strategy

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina in the upstream sector, recorded gas production of 777 million cubic feet per day (mmscfd) during January-March 2018. The performance rose 2 percent compared to the same period of 2017 of only 765 mmscfd. Later, oil production in the first three months of 2018 was 63,037 barrels per day (bopd), not much different when compared to the same period of 2017 of 62,623 bopd.

Director of PHE R. Gunung Sardjono Hadi said PHE actually set a gas production target until March of 767.8 mmscfd. For oil, PHE is targeting production to March 2018 of 65,243 bopd.

"Production in March 2018 was 96.6 percent of the target," Mount said.

According to him, it will accelerate the monetization of PHE reserves by implementing a backup source clustering strategy. The strategy can be used in working areas that have less gas reserves, but can be monetized soon. PHE no longer thinks just waiting for gas buyers. But also innovate to create market. Because, although PHE has large reserves will be useless if there is no gas absorber.

Terapkan trategi Klasterisasi

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), anak usaha PT Pertamina di sektor hulu, mencatat produksi gas 777 juta kaki kubik per hari (mmscfd) sepanjang Januari-Maret 2018.

Direktur Utama PHE R. Gunung Sardjono Hadi mengatakan, PHE sebenarnya mematok target produksi gas sampai Maret 767,8 mmscfd.

Pertamina EP Still Supported by Natural Gas

The average oil and gas production of PT Pertamina Exploration and Production (Pertamina EP) per May 15, 2018 reached 256,619 barrels of oil equivalent per day / boepd slightly above the target of 253,2020 boepd this year. Pertamina EP President Director Nanang Abdul Manaf said the company's overall oil and gas output exceeded the target. However, the subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) is recorded oil production is still below target. The realization of oil and gas production that exceeds the target is more supported by natural gas.

"We still have not reached the target for oil production, the total production booster could exceed the target because the gas production achievement is more than 4% of the target," he said.

The company is still trying to drill several new wells this year to increase production levels or stay awake. Pertamina EP oil production until May 15, 2018 was recorded at 76,309 barrels per day (bpd). That number is still below the 2018 target of 79,275 bph. Pertamina EP's gas production per May 15, 2018 is 1,027 million standard cubic feet per share (MMscfd) above this year's target of 986.82 MMscfd.

Pertamina EP continues to maintain oil and gas production by continuing to drill several new wells. Nanang explained, the company has quite aggressive plans for the drilling of new wells. In West Java, for example, Pertamina EP will drill Bambu Besar, Akasia Bagus, and Jati Asri wells.

"We will also drill Tapen wells in Cepu Block. From there the majority of the contents are oil, but still there is little gas as well, "he explained.

Nanang said, it did a test to drill one of the wells in West Java, namely Akasia Maju. The new well is expected to be an exploration finding that can be developed and has large reserves.

"Then we are also drilling two exploitation wells in Aceh with a depth of 3,400 meters."

Pertamina EP's exploration results have not been able to find significant reserves. Nanang revealed that three wells drilled by the company tend to produce only small and non-commercial gas volumes such as in Kalimantan, Prabumulih, and Pondok Mas, West Java.

Until May 2018, Pertamina EP has issued a capital expenditure worth US $ 122 million. In detail, the funds are used for drilling worth US $ 83 million and the construction, renewal, and down engine drilling facility worth US $ 39 million. Pertamina's total capital expenditures in 2018 amount to US $ 330 million. For operational expenditure, Pertamina EP has poured US $ 359 million until May 2018 from total budgeted funds worth US $ 51.64 billion.

Pertamina EP's oil and gas production target this year is 253,202 boepd slightly above last year's realization of 253,000 boepd. The production target for this year consists of 83,000 bpd of crude oil and 986.11 MMscfd of natural gas. Nanang added that Pertamina EP is targeting revenue of US $ 2.73 billion this year. Net income is targeted at US $ 547 million.

Pertamina EP Masih Ditopang Gas Bumi

Sampai Mei 2018, Pertamina EP sudah mengeluarkan belanja modal senilai US$ 122 juta. Secara rinci, dana itu digunakan untuk pengeboran senilai US$ 83 juta dan pembangunan, pembaruan, dan turun mesin fasilitas pengeboran senilai US$ 39 juta. Total belanja modal Pertamina pada 2018 sebesar US$ 330 juta.

Laba bersih ditargetkan sebesar US$ 547 juta.

First Quarter PHE Gas Production Up Two Percent

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) in the upstream sector, has recorded 777 million cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD) during January-March 2018. Up 2% over the same period of 2017 of 765 MMSCFD.

"In 2018, PHE set a production target for March of 767.8 MMSCFD, realization of 1.2% higher," said Director of PHE, R. Gunung Sardjono Hadi.

Mount added for oil production PHE in the first three months of 2018 recorded 63.037 barrels oil per day (BOPD), not much different from the same period of 2017 of 62,623 BOPD.

"PHE in 2018 targeted oil production in March at 65,243 BOPD, so production in March 2018 was 96.6% of the target," he explained.

PHE will accelerate the monetization of PHE reserves by implementing a backup source clustering strategy. This strategy can be used in working areas that have less gas reserves, but can be monetized soon.

With PHE clustering no longer thinking just waiting for gas buyers, but innovating how to create a market even though having large reserves would be useless if there were no gas absorber.

"So it does not depend on the market, but it creates the market. That is what we are now pursuing as to the concept of clarified gas monetization gas. So we also have to think how to get into the midstream, "explained Mount.

He cited the development of gas in Senoro, Senoro gas will never be monetized if the facility is not built and regasification Donggi-Senoro Liquid Natural Gas (DSLNG) in cooperation with several companies. To that end PHE will also be more open in cooperation with other companies.

"Like Senoro if there is no DSLNG it will not be developed, that's one example for other development. We are trying to find and create new markets, so we do not sit sweetly waiting to come buyers, "he said.

Meanwhile, according to Director of Operations and Production of PHE, Ekariza, PHE gas production realization is highly dependent on market absorption. If the absorption of large markets, then PHE can increase gas production.

"Gas production in the first quarter is higher because there is an increase in absorption, the largest production contribution comes from Tomori," Ekariza said.

In addition to Tomori, the contribution of PHE gas production comes from Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) block, Jambi Merang and West Madura Offshore (WMO).

Produksi Gas PHE Kuartal I Naik Dua Persen

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, anak usaha PT Pertamina (Persero) di sektor hulu telah mencatat produksi gas 777 juta kaki kubik per hari (MMSCFD) sepanjang Januari-Maret 2018. Naik 2% dibanding periode yang sama 2017 sebesar 765 MMSCFD.

“Pada 2018, PHE menetapkan target produksi bulan Maret sebesar 767,8 MMSCFD, realisasinya 1,2% Iebih tinggi,” kata Direktur Utama PHE, R. Gunung
Sardjono Hadi.

Petronas Booster Bukit Ketapang Oil Production

Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) will increase oil production in Ketapang Working Field (Old Hill Field Working Area) this year to exceed the production target of 15,000 barrels per day.

Agus Purnomo in SKK Migas

"The target is set by the Indonesian government through SKK Migas," said Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs & Administration PC Muriah, Andiono Setiawan, in Surabaya.

Working Area Petronas Bukit Tua Field

Andiono is optimistic, with the development of Petronas production which is one of the Malaysian companies that can maintain production from the Bukit Tua WK Ketapang field. It was based on performance since May 2015 when it first flowed petroleum in accordance with the target.

"Since the beginning of production in 2015, the production is very good, about 18,000 barrels per day or above the target set by the Government at that time as much as 16,000 barrels per day. Since there is a natural decline, the government is now targeting 15,000 bpd. Nevertheless, I wish I could reach about 16,000 bpd, "he said.

He said that the development is likely to increase gas production from Bukit Tua Field because currently, gas production is around 30 mmscfd which is channeled into Java Java (PJB) through Petrogas Jatim Utama (PJU). With this development, it is expected to increase gas production by about 15 mmscfd or become 45 mmscfd.

"Our party continues to commit to supporting the supply of electricity by PJB. The reliability of electricity is very important so that economic growth in East Java Region can be maintained even improved, "he said.

Blogger Agus Purnomo in SKK Migas

Since working on WK Ketapang, Petronas operations have shown very positive performance, even seven structures or wells have been drilled in that location. The result has then flowed through a 110 km seabed pipeline from an offshore receiving platform (ORF) located in Maspion Industrial Area (KIM), Manyar District, Gresik-East Java with a total storage capacity 70 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd).

Petronas Tingkatkan Produksi Minyak Bukit Ketapang

mencapai sekitar 16.000 bph,” katanya.

Pertamina Hulu Energi Gas Production Increases

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero) in the upstream sector, recorded gas production of 777 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) during January-March 2018, up 2% over the same period of 2017 of 765 MMSCFD.

"In 2018, PHE set a production target for March of 767.8 MMSCFD, realization of 1.2% higher," said Director of PHE R. Gunung Sardjono Hadi in Jakarta.

PHE oil production in the first three months of 2018 was 63.037 barrels oil per day (BOPD), not much different from the same period of 2017 of 62,623 BOPD.

"PHE in 2018 targeted oil production in March at 65,243 BOPD, so production in March 2018 was 96.6% of the target," Gunung said.

According to Gunung, PHE will accelerate the monetization of PHE reserves by implementing a backup source clustering strategy. This strategy can be used in the Work Area which has gas reserves not too large, but can be monetized immediately. With PHE clustering no longer thinks just waiting for gas buyers, but innovates how to create a market. The reason, although having large reserves will be useless if there is no gas absorber.

"So it does not depend on the market, but it creates the market. That's what we're after now. The concept of gas monetization is clustered. So we also have to think how to get into the midstream, "he said.

He cited the development of gas in Senoro. Senoro gas will never be monetized if the facility does not build the refinery and regasification DSLNG in cooperation with several companies. PHE will also be more open to cooperate with other companies.

"Like Senoro if there is no DSLNG it will not be developed. That's one example for another development. We try to find, create new markets. So we do not sit sweetly waiting to come buyers, "he said.

Meanwhile, Director of Operations and Production of PHE Ekariza added that PHE gas production realization depends on absorption in the market. If the absorption of large markets, then PHE can increase gas production. In addition to the Tomori Block, PHE gas production contribution comes from the Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) block, Jambi Merang and West Madura Offshore (WMO).

"First quarter gas production is higher because there is an increase in absorption. The largest production contribution comes from Tomori, "he said.

Tuban Block

Meanwhile, PHE is also targeting production in Tuban block for oil of 8.11 MBOPD and gas production of 11.11 MMSCFD. Meanwhile, for Ogan Komering, PHE targets gross production for oil of 1.95 MBOPD and gas production of 8.21 MMSCFD.

PT Pertamina EP, Same Contract Contractor under the coordination and supervision of SKK Migas, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), targets revenue in 2018 to reach US $ 2.5-2.6 billion.

"The revenue is assumed that the average oil price this year is at US $ 80 per barrel and the production rate is the same, while last year the average price of world oil reached US $ 51 per barrel," said Pertamina EP President Director Nanang Abdul Manaf in Fasting Sharing event in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, until May 15, 2018, the company recorded a production of 256,619 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD). The production achievement exceeded the target in the 2018 RPAP of 249,601 BOEPD or about 101.61%. Nanang said the realization of the production consists of 76.309 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) or 96.26% of the target of 79,275 BOPD. While gas production reached 1,027.29 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD).

"Gas production until mid-May 2018 reached 104.10% of the target of 986.82 MMSCFD," said Nanang.

Pertamina EP Asset 5, Pertamina EP business unit based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, contributed the largest production of oil, which is 18,369 BOPD. This production comes from five fields under the manager of Pertamina EP Asset 5, namely Sangatta Field, Bunyu Field, Tanjung Field, Sangasanga Field, and Tarakan Field. The second largest contributor is Pertamina EP Asset 2, based in Prabumulih, South Sumatera, at 17,051 BOPD. Pertamina Search Partners Build Balikpapan Plant

Fund Requirement US $ 4 Billion

PT Pertamina (Persero) will partner with the Balikpapan Reinery Development Master Plan project. The project, targeted to be completed in 2021, will be done by the government-owned oil and gas company. Pertamina Managing Director Nicke Widyawati said the plan to partner with the company is a new strategy to complete projects that require large amounts of funding. In the calculation of the company the need for the development of the Balikpapan refinery reaches US $ 4 billion.

"We also open partnership we also do partner selection," said Nicke in the House of Representatives (DPR).

Nicke Widyawati

Nicke explained the initial stage of screening partners will be done market sounding. The same applies to the Bontang refinery. He mentioned that there has been an informal communication from several companies that expressed interest in participating in the development of the Balikpapan refinery.

"Yes, there is this year (market sounding). Of course we will see all aspects, we must recview, the council also ask to carefully choose a partner, "he said.

He said the process of determining the partners will also be accompanied by the calculation of valuation of assets to be listed for the inbreng process of shares. All of the existing assets belonging to Pertamina and already built so many percent will be divested into the value of share inbreng with the partner. But Nicke asserted Pertamina remains the majority shareholder.

"So instead of the government doing equity but this asset is our valuation of our value is so inbreng us with partners so the portion of our shares so paid in the form of asset inbreng," he said.

Furthermore Nicke explained that the development process that has been going on will not be stopped. Thus the selection of partners and the construction of refineries the process will take place in parallel.

"We operate just like a Cilacap refinery in Central Java. Saudi Aramco when all conditions are fulfilled setealh it then joined, so we operate just once there is no desire to delay, "he said.

The development of the Balikpapan refinery commenced in 2017 and is targeted to be completed by 2021. Currently, the Engineering Contractor, Procurement and Construction (EPC) engineering auction will be held until October. The Balikpapan Phase I RDMP is targeted to be completed by 2021, increasing the company's refinery capacity by 100 thousand barrels per day (bpd).

While the Balikpapan Phase II RDMP is targeted to be completed by 2025. The RDMP program will increase the capacity and complexity of the refinery. In the first phase, Balikpapan refinery capacity will increase from 260 thousand bpd to 350 thousand bpd.

In the second phase, the refinery becomes capable of processing oil until the sour type from the previous medium heavy. The investment requirement for RDMP of Balikpapan refinery reaches US $ 4.6 billion. In detail, the first phase requires US $ 2.6 billion and the second phase of US $ 2 billion.

Kebutuhan Dana US$ 4 Miliar

Pertamina Cari Mitra Bangun Kilang Balikpapan

Dalam kalkulasi perusahaan kebutuhan dana pengembangan kilang Balikpapan mencapai US$ 4 Miliar.

“Kita beroperasi dulu saja seperti kilang Cilacap Jawa Tengah.

RDMP Kilang Balikpapan Tahap I ditargetkan selesai pada 2021 sehingga meningkatkan kapasitas kilang perseroan sebesar 100 ribu barel per hari (bph).

Rincinya, tahap pertama membutuhkan US$ 2,6 miliar dan tahap kedua US$
2 miliar.
